Exploring the rhythmic physicality of contemporary weaving, this musical short reveals the unique process central to the work of Ptolemy Mann. From the humble, almost everyday beginnings of a bare white cotton thread, through the innovative dyeing stage and finally onto the rigorous act of the weaving itself, the film playfully depicts the making of one of Ptolemy Mann’s sophisticated art installations (Chromaticity) in highly charged, close-up detail.
